Established:  January 2002

Purpose/Mission Statement: This particular ministry was designed to encourage girls to be happy in the bodies that God gave them, and to teach them the importance of practicing integrity at all times.  It is also a prerequisite for the You’re Worth The Wait class.

Scripture: I Corinthians 6:19-20 What?  Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Meeting Time/Day/Location.  The ministry meets the Thursday after 1st Sunday each month, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Conference Room.

History

Little Women Of Faith began as a result of some younger girls expressing an interest in coming to the You’re Worth The Wait monthly meetings.  The topics discussed at these meetings were far too advanced for their young minds, and so a new ministry for girls ages 9 – 13 years was formed in January, 2002.

The primary goals each young girl aims for are: to gain high self-esteem from knowing why God created her “temple”, to be a better witness for Jesus; to set high standards for herself and to never compromise her beliefs; to show her love for God in her speech, behavior and clothing selections; and to allow God to transform her into the Godly woman He wants her to be.

Currently, this ministry has 15 active members, and is under the leadership of Mrs. Yolanda Weaver and Deaconess Karen Kennedy.  The theme “Honor God With Your Body” is based on 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

All new members  are welcomed.  Please see Mrs. Yolanda Weaver or Deaconess Karen Kennedy for more information.
